Why is CS crashing?

Ensure that your graphics cards drivers and ClimateStudio are up to date.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, restart Rhino and click on the Simulation Settings icon button to the right of the progress bar. Select Acceleration Device and switch to Native CPU.
